There are loads of ways to be part of the Hurst Green to 2030 initiative and the neighbourhood plan.

Everything helps, from completing a survey, attending a consultation event, chatting about the aims and visions with a neighbour, and best of all – joining the volunteers, and helping deliver a part of the vision that you’re passionate about.

For those who wish to contribute more, we welcome you to consider joining one of the volunteer task groups that are helping make the vision for the future a reality. Some of the things we’re working on include:

  • Giving the children’s park at Lodge field an upgrade
  • Developing a new nature reserve at Stage field and creating new public spaces
  • Exploring the idea of building locally owned affordable homes
  • Devising an upgrade to the sporting facilities at Drewett’s field

There’s no minimum time commitment and no pressure – the groups bring like minded people together who are passionate about making things better for our community.
