Completed milestones
Publicity and Representation Period (Regulation 16)
The Regulation 16 Consultation for the Hurst Green Neighbourhood Plan ran from the 25th October 2024 until the 6th December 2024.
Submission of the Hurst Green Neighbourhood Plan (Regulation 15)
On the 3rd of October 2024, the Parish Council voted to approve the submission version of the Hurst Green Parish Neighbourhood Plan.
Pre-Submission Consultation (Regulation 14)
After several years of evidence gathering, public events and consultation, the Parish Council ran a formal public consultation on the Pre-Submission Version of the Hurst Green Parish Neighbourhood Plan between 9am on Wednesday 27th July and 5pm on Saturday 17th September 2022. 17th December 2018 – Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Screening Opinion
Rother District Council provided a formal SEA Screening Opinion for the Hurst Green Neighbourhood Plan.
8th June 2017 – Designation of Hurst Green Parish as a Neighbourhood Area (Regulation 7)
Rother District Council confirmed that the marked area shown on the submitted map (being that of Hurst Green Parish) was formally designated as a Neighbourhood Area.
10th April 2017 – Application for the designation of Hurst Green Parish as a Neighbourhood Area (Regulation 5)
Hurst Green Parish Council (as the relevant body) submitted to Rother District Council an application for the designation of Hurst Green Parish as a Neighbourhood Area, along with the following documents:

- A statement explaining why the area is considered appropriate to be designated as a Neighbourhood Plan Area

- A statement setting out why Hurst Green Parish Council is a relevant body for the purposes of section 61G of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990
